Work Permit
As per the condition and qualification, an applicant can apply for a different type of work permit. Basic eligibility requirements to obtain your temporary work permit are as follow:
- You are currently a resident of Canada and hold a valid study or work permit
- You are graduated from a Canadian college or university
- You have a temporary resident permit that is valid for at least six months
- You are waiting for CIC to process your permanent residence application
There are many different varieties of work permit available:
- Graduate work permit: Applicant becomes eligible to get a minimum of 1 maximum of 3 years of work permit after successful completion of a college education from designated college or institute.
- Closed work permit: Applicant can get a closed work permit as a result of positive LMIA (formerly known as LMO labor market opinion).
- Bridging Work Permit: If the applicant already got approved by Province Nomination or already applied for Permanent residence file, then their work permit can be extended.
