Canadian Experience Class
Any international student and temporary foreign worker with at least 12 months of full-time work experience or 24 months of part-time work experience can become a Permanent Resident of Canada with the help of Canadian Experience Class (CEC) program.
Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) inaugurated a new program by the name Express Entry on January 2015. Express Entry is a number and ranking system based program where one candidate competes with other candidates in the same pool. Based on the scores of the candidates, CIC, then, sends an application to the qualified applicants from the pool.
CEC Minimum Requirements:
- Candidate must have at least 1 year of full-time or 2 years of part-time work experience with National Occupational Classification (NOC) skill type 0, A or B within three years before applying.
- Candidate must meet the required language levels and proof of language ability in the form of a language proficiency test.
- Candidate must plan to live outside Quebec.
Please Note:
- Work experience obtained while studying as a full-time student will not be considered.
- Your selection is not guaranteed even when you have the required work experience to qualify under Express Entry. Applicants with the highest scores in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) tool will be favored first.
